Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is based solely on ground fighting and grappling. It teaches techniques for submission holds and joint locks, which enable a much smaller person to be able to control a larger and stronger opponent. There are no punches or kicks in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. It is a great self defense martial art because most fights go to the ground. It has become famous internationally for its effectiveness in such competitions as Ultimate Fighting Championship and Pride.
