Out from the mountainous terrain of Canada – Vancouver, BC to be more precise. Residing in Chojabaru, Anita is excited to be experiencing her second year as a senior high school ALT. Having recently arrived in Fukuoka, she’s loving the abundant availability of croquettes and ramen!
Keliko Adams | Treasurer
Keliko is originally from Hawaii, but has lived in many places in the US and abroad. She enjoys traveling, writing and volunteering, and is happy that she can do all three of these things in Japan while also teaching. She is also one-third of an elusive and beloved all-girl band residing in different areas of Fukuoka prefecture.
Eryk Salvaggio | Communications Director
Eryk Salvaggio arrived last year from New England and is in his second year as an ALT in Fukuoka. He has a passion for movies, photography, and the written word.
Lauren Every-Wortman | Charity Liaison
Lauren comes from the infamous suburbs of America’s capital and was educated in the beautiful city of Philadelphia. She is in her second year as a Senior High School ALT in Kitakyushu. She loves contemporary art, city parks, vintage clothes, and macaroni and cheese.
Yannick McLeod | Event Coordinator
From Norfolk, Virginia, Yannick is currently on his fourth year on The JET Programme. He calls Kitakyushu City home and enjoys a wide variety of activities, including wadaiko and Bible Studies. That is all.
Dena-Kae Ferguson | Event Coordinator
Dena-Kae is a third year ALT living in Chayama, Fukuoka City. Born and raised on the beautiful island of Jamaica, she left home at 17 to pursue an education in Law in the USA. Afterwards, she returned home and worked as the event coordinator for a non-profit organization. Now she finds herself in Japan! She enjoys cocktails, dancing and lounging at the beach.
Christian Chantell | Event Coordinator
Originally hailing from Mexico and later the desolate and arid lands of Arizona in the US of A, Christian is in his third year in Kitakyushu. Christian teaches English at the Senior High School level and enjoys playing music with local musicians, practicing martial arts at the neighborhood dōjō, playing video games, and painting during his free time. Feel free to ask him a question anytime.
Kendra Cobb | Event Coordinator
From the interestingly named city of Red Deer, Canada, Kendra is a third year Senior High School ALT. Since coming to Japan, she has traded her fencing swords for Yosakoi dance shoes.
Kara Payne | Event Coordinator
Kara is a second year Senior High School ALT out in the boonies of Fukuoka City and enjoying the availability of the ocean for the first time. I am from the land of everything dairy: Wisconsin. My interests include Lindy Hop (or really any kind of swing dance), the theater, and now shodou!
